Qatar seems to pass Caves

We were hoping, and finally Qatar seems to pass Caves "has succeeded very well, even better than last year with nearly 1200 participants including hundreds of children who are were the great protagonists of the race.

A beautiful sun accompanied us throughout the day, during preparations had the feeling that participation was large, and it did.

As usual, everything is ready just minutes before the start of the main groups in the province are there, others come from nearby cities (Mantova, Reggio Emilia and Bologna ).... then starting at 15.30 for adults on all routes, children will start 10 minutes later.

For the record the men's race was won by the great Gabriel Valley (Gabbi Bo) in the two medollesi Henry Paltrinieri (Runners Medollesi) and Stefano Baraldini (Brotherhood), while the women's race been dominated by Antonella Benatti (Sintofarm) ahead Emanuela Pagan (Novigrad) and Grillenzoni Daniela (Italy Triathlon ), fourth and fifth miss our Morena coal and Galavotti Stefania (young daughter of promise and we Gala saw a little 'touched upon arrival).

The race of children has been dominated an incomparable Giorgio Luppi (.. also beat all the boys!) Before Mattia Mantovani ( I apologize if we do not give the complete classification but as soon as' we have at hand will be published along with photos ). see below ...

Some numbers ... addition to the aforementioned 1200 participants, 35 prize-winning teams with more than 10 participants, more than 50 volunteers distributed and refreshments on the course, 250 liters of hot tea in addition to several liters of various beverages, 25Kg dumpling, 25 home-made cakes as well in bologna, cookies, oranges ... (We say that the restaurant is one of our strengths!).

And here we are ready to give the proper thanks to all those who made the event possible, of course all the volunteers of the first group and the town of Cavendish, the Municipal Police, the Blue Cross of Cavendish, the boys of AVIS, GEV Ecological Guards, Civil Defence, the sponsors who have contributed financially and all that we have forgotten .... and then of course all those who participated!

At 9.30 we go. Carmine greets us after 300 meters because he had to try the new shoes in the wet, while others form a nice little blue train, that between a chat and another grind on km km. The route is pleasant, including country roads, away from traffic, while the last 5 km are on the cycle path along the road that leads from St. Martin in Reggio. We close the 11.30 km in 56 min, without using force. A jump to the rich final refreshment with you 'hot oranges and dumpling, accepted the award team (6 Picos found and brought home a bottle of wine and food) and so sprint to get a nice hot shower after a long cold forfeited in the race.
